CLANS - LOWERS

LOWERS - once referred to as The Lower Decks 63 Through 70 Clan, this expression has been shortened to the more efficient 'lowers'. The new name also reflects the general attitude held towards this clan by the rest of the crew. The Lowers are unsettling. They never venture off the frigate, and nor do they ever travel beyond what is known as the lower decks. They live by rote, and carry out their duties based off millenia of habit handed down from generation to generation. Generally, they are seen as hunched figures in dark halls, rarely ceasing to move except when they sleep. Thought to lack individual personalities or imagination, many amongst the general crew think they may be blasphemous devolutions of the human race. Nonetheless, there are no crew to be relied upon to work more saily than the Lowers. They are currently led by a Tech Priest, though he refuses to divulge any substantial information about them.

Enginseer Adjent - The representative of the Lowers. Enginseer Adjent has alway been known as reclusive, even from his own brothers. Preferring to experiment in solitude, he developed an affinity with the Lowers and, though none know how, has since come to command them. He represents their interests, and is the best man to see about anything concerning the lower decks. Enginseer Adjent has a series of pipes and tubes comprising the lower half of his face. His left arm is cybernetic, ending in digits used for interfacing with machinery; a mechadendrite emerges from over his right shoulder, tipped with chirugical implements.
