The etheric voices of the Astropaths resound throughout the Immaterium. When the voices are united by a single will, they combine into a pyschic harmony capable of touching minds half a galaxy away. The Choir-Master directs this harmony, and in turn directs the choir as a whole.

Psyniscience: The foundation of training from whence all an Astropaths talents spring.

Forbidden Lore (The Warp): The Choatic eddies of the Immaterium can hider and enhance an Astropaths powers. By understanding these eddies the Astropath can ensure a clear signal in the most turbulant Warp storms

Command: It is not enough for lesser Astropaths to respect the Choirmaster. He must command their minds if they are to focus their wills.

His shoulders hunched from age, and his face is sheilded by a mask, Sterr the Unborn is much feared by the crew. Considered to be incomparably wise, though rumoured to be the holder of dark secrets, many avoid this ancient psyker. Perhaps a hundred or more years old, Sterr began life on a Feral world, as a member of a warring and savage tribe. Revered by his people as a powerful witch, he was discovered by an Ecclesiarchal Missionary and brought within the embrace of the Golden Throne. Taken to Holy Terra in a Black Ship, Sterr became soul-bonded with the God Emperor, and has functioned ever since as an astropath. He has served on the Forward unto Dawn for a decade. Sterr is a deeply religious individual although, due to the Ecclesiarchy's deliberate melding of Imperial Creed and Savage beliefs on his home world (in order to spread the faith more easily), Sterr has a unique and savage vision of the Emperor.
