The Black Hand has arrived

I signed up to d20 and this site too, I will type out all my character background stuff by the 26th and post it in this thread

Background:
Born onto the harsh and unforgiving desert deathworld of Raith and raised in one of it’s many nomadic tribes Lucius showed an early gift for communion with the machine spirits. The abundance of Archeotech ruins on Raith, where the hardy tribals of Raith scavanged for things to sell for scrap at one of the few settlements (run by the planet-wide criminal organisation ‘The Syndicate’) were ideal testing grounds for Lucuis’ skills. In one particular incident with an archeotech handheld heat weapon his hand was badly scarred and he earned his tribal name.

While he was still a young boy an Explorator from the Adeptus Mechanicus drawn to Raith with rumours of it’s ancient Archeotech treasures came across Lucius’ tribe and was intrigued by the child’s intuitive grasp of basic machine spirit communion. He took Lucius under his wing and with some bartering with the tribe took Lucius to the Forgeworld of Kast where he was ordained into the Mechanicus. Whilst undergoing training on Kast he was contacted by an agent of The Syndicate from his homeworld and coerced into stealing some tech from his new masters. In an early display of his duplicitous nature Lucius turned the tables on his would be exploiters and not only made a profit from the incident but had the agents sent by The Syndicate sent to the nearest Reclaimator (after which they served him faithfully as his favourite Servitors).

Many years later when his training was complete and sporting a new bionic arm with the hand painted black he was assigned as an Explorator to the crew of the Rogue Trader ‘Ironjaw’ Atreides flagship ‘The Forward Unto Dawn’. After swiftly rising through the ranks of the onboard Mechanicus Tech Priests, mainly due to a series of industrial accidents and unfortunate ‘incidents’, he attained the rank of Enginseer Prime shortly before Old Ironjaw perished and his son took the reins.

Demeanour:
Quiet and contemplative but quick to anger when provoked (a trait that is slowly being flushed from his system due to his continued progress on the Path of Purity), duplicitous, ambitious with few if any moral scruples.

What is your ambition?:
With the demise of Ironjaw Atreides, whom Lucius had some degree of respect for, Lucius resolved to one day gain control of the Mechanicus’ Lathe class vessel ‘Forward Unto Dawn’ from the unworthy (in his eyes) son of Ironjaw and use it and it’s crew to scour the Koronus Expanse for lost Archeotech.
